Renfrew, ON — The Renfrew Wolves Hockey Club concluded its Pink the Rink event with resounding success, raising $3,400 for the Renfrew Victoria Hospital (RVH) Foundation. The funds were gathered through sales of limited-edition pink jerseys, special event t-shirts, and generous donations from fans who filled the rink over the weekend in support of breast cancer awareness.
More than 500 fans packed the stands for an exciting weekend of hockey, cheering on both the Jr. A Wolves and Jr. B Timberwolves in a show of solidarity with the breast cancer awareness cause. The contributions will support the RVH Mammography Department, aiding in early detection efforts and helping save lives.
On behalf of the RVH Foundation, Executive Director Patti Dillabough expressed gratitude for the club’s commitment to the cause. “I would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Renfrew Wolves Hockey Club for being such a big part of our Breast Cancer Month with our Pink the Rink event. It was a huge success, and we look forward to working together on other projects in the future. Thank you, Jr. A Wolves and Jr. B Timberwolves, for supporting our Breast Cancer Awareness campaign and for doing your part to help our RVH Mammography Department save lives, one mammogram at a time,” said Dillabough.
